About Us
Our Mission
Blueprint Ocean Legacy™ is a grief-informed ocean conservation nonprofit that expands access to reef memorials through education, partnerships, and community engagement.

At Blueprint Ocean Legacy, we see reef memorials as an invitation: to align grief with values, to honor life by supporting life, and to sustain awareness of the ocean’s vulnerability. For many, this act of remembrance becomes a gateway to learning, community, and stewardship of the ocean and planet.

We exist to turn loss into legacy.
Our work bridges the emotional needs of those grieving with the ecological needs of our planet. We support families, care providers, and communities with ocean-centered programs that honor loved ones and raise awareness of ocean conservation.
Today, coral reefs are disappearing at an alarming rate due to climate change, pollution, and ocean acidification. We believe legacy can be both personal and planetary, and that remembrance can inspire regeneration.
Reef memorials offer families a meaningful way to connect remembrance with care for the ocean. While not a solution to reef collapse, memorial reefs can be a powerful starting point: a space for grief to be honored, continuing bonds to be expressed, and engagement with ocean care to begin.

Blueprint Ocean Legacy is built on the belief that remembrance can renew and in honoring those we love,
we can also nurture care for the ocean that sustains us all.

Our Vision
To ensure every life honored leaves a legacy that supports healing, remembrance, and care for our oceans.
Our Founder
Blueprint Ocean Legacy (BOL) was founded by Charon Collier, a death doula and ocean advocate dedicated to connecting grief with ocean care. With a background in end-of-life support and a passion for coral reef conservation, She believes that honoring loved ones can also nurture bonds that continue beyond loss while inspiring care and responsibility for the ocean. Guided by this vision, BOL works through partnerships, education, and community engagement to help families and communities find purpose within grief while contributing to a culture of ocean stewardship.
